Not soon after release of Gritwire and Google’s Personlised Homepage, a developer has released of a new ajax desktop called Pageflakes. unfortunately it only works in IE (Internet Explorer).
Pageflakes like most of the Ajax Desktop, features RSS reading, email checking, note taking, searching, etc.
But this also provides a developer API to allow third party module-creation. Of course Google & Live also has this feature.

Writely (http://www.writely.com/) - Ajax Word Solution
People take Ajax to the extreme and I think I can say that here , Writely is an word processor which allows tagging of documentsand set reader permissions . It is built with the core feature set with an ajax UI . and addd some cool web 2.0 stuffs. Documents can also be tagged for easy searches later. The ability to create PDFs directly from writely is a really useful tool that you cannot do with Word.

Meebo is an Web-based instant messaging application that is simply superb. Meant for using as a webmessenger and it surely does its work fine. It wraps up all the major network (Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, and MSN). Simply superb and very fast interface. It uses ajax technology that makes it into Web 2.0 category.
Gollum (http://gollum.easycp.de/en/) - The Wikipedia Browser
This Mac OS skined, Browser in a browser Ajax application is simple sweet, with a refreshing layout Gollum seaches wikipedia at superb pace. Gollum gives you access to nearly all Wikipedias in all languages. Gollum is based on PHP and Javascript using XMLHttp request for communication, Ajax. Gollum is a GPL and it’s source code will be available soon.

The new Search Engine, Gravee, search results from Google, MSN and Yahoo (Alexa shortly).Apart from that, Gravee also allows publishers to claim their site and earn a nice revenue. Hope it has a nice competion with the growing Chitika. whenever a search you drive to gravee.com from your Web site clicks on an ad, 1/2 of the total 70% of revenue we normally share via the AdShare program goes directly to the Gravee search affiliate who sent us the traffic (i.e. 70% * .5 = 35% of total ad revenue from click).
